I love to laugh

You know that point when little kids stop being just cute little kids and they start becoming real people? You can start having conversations with them and they start developing a sense of humor. One of my favorite little cousins is right on the cusp of crossing that line. Although he still does his silly little kid antics, which are adorable, he's starting to exhibit wit.

Case in point: He was helping me in my yard and he was telling some funny jokes to which I laughed and said "I love you, you're my favorite." His reply, "you only keep me around because I'm funny." He's 8. Oddly enough, Logan, who is 25, has been known to say the same thing. I know my cousin was just being funny, but maybe he's on to something about me.

Dirt

We all agreed that buying a vacuum is pretty lame. Daresay a few months ago I would have said it's the lamest thing you could need to buy. But suddenly a new contestant enters the race: Dirt.

I've been working on putting my back yard in, and after a week of grueling dirt removal, I now have the pleasure of buying dirt. The substance you try to keep out of your house and off your shoes. I'm paying money for it. And it's all over my shoes and been tracked into my house. My own fault.

On a brighter note, I found free manure to till into my yard. I never thought I would be excited about manure, but I am overjoyed about it's free-ness. Some things in life are free. I had just been hoping it wasn't going to be poop.

Your vote matters

I need new glasses but I can't seem to decide. I've asked around but am getting mixed results. I needed a bigger voting population. Please ignore the ridiculous pictures, just focus on the frames. And I think I hid the comments so that other comments wouldn't sway the vote!
Presenting: Option "A"

Option "B"
Option "C": Keep looking

A year down

A year ago today I had my surgery. In honor of it I ate Mexican food and worked out. Two things I definitely couldn't do a year ago. Although, the Mexican food was still probably a bad idea. Maybe tonight at work I'll go visit the room where I spent a week in a drugged haze. They tell me I was there 7 days--I really don't remember much of it.

Snowboarding etiquette

Things that are appropriate while skiing/boarding, but not so socially acceptable anywhere else:

Changing in the middle of a parking lot

Asking the question, "are you single?"

Wearing: suspenders, one-piece jumpsuits, masks in public, and neon (I still don't think neon is ever appropriate, but we're letting it slide on the slopes)
